UPDATE: the deadline to submit your nomination for the by-election of the Governing Board Technical Seat has been extended to Wednesday 18 October (5PM EST).
An election is being held to elect the Technical Seat on the IATI Governing Board. This follows the news that the incumbent representative Pelle Aardema is stepping down from the technical seat on the Board for personal reasons.
The decision to hold a by-election was made by the Governing Board Chair, in accordance with the process set out in the IATI Standard Operating Procedures (EN / FR) at paragraphs 4.1.5 and 4.2, with one vote per member organisation based on the eligibility criteria set out in Annex 3, paragraph 2.
The successful candidate is expected to serve in this position up to the next full Board Election (March 2024) and may be nominated again at that time to serve a full two-year term.
Nominations open 27 September - 18 October 2023 (extended deadline)
Organisations who are members of IATI are invited to submit nominations for the by-election Technical Seat on the IATI Governing Board. Interested candidate organisations are required to sign and submit the two following documents:

Election timetable
If more than one candidate is nominated, an online election will be conducted for that seat, with all IATI member organisations being invited to submit one vote.
- 27 September: Nomination period opens.
- 18 October: Deadline for interested candidates to submit their election nomination.
- 23-27 October: Virtual election takes place if the seat is contested.
