International Aid Transparency Initiative: Registry Record Extension Schema
Release 2.02, 2015-12-07
This W3C XML schema is an extension to the IATI standards to add
information specific to the IATI registry. Like all IATI
extensions, this schema is in a separate namespace to
distinguish it from IATI standards-based markup.
The root ir:registry-record element (assuming "ir" is the prefix
bound to the "http://iatiregistry.org/ns/record#" namespace) may
be inserted anywhere in an IATI document, but will normally
appear as a child of iati-activities, iati-activity, or
iati-organization.
Root of an IATI registry record. Note that this element and
its children not in the default namespace, to distinguish them
from the core IATI standard markup.
The language of any human-readable text in this element
(such as the value of the @title attribute).
A unique identifier for this file of IATI information.
Note that this identifier applies to the file, not to the
individual activities or organizations described in it.
The source URL for this file: the most up-to-date version
of the file will always be available for download at that
location.
The IATI identifier for the publishing organization
(required, since any organization using the IATI registry
will have an IATI identifier). This information is
identical to iati-activity/reporting-org/@ref.
The role of the publisher in the activity (if any). This
information is identical to the value of
iati-activity/participating-org/@role for the reporting
organization.
An email address that the registry can use for queries
about the information. This information is identical to
the value of iati-activity/contact-info/email
The identifier for the donor whose information is reported
in this file. If information for multiple donors is
included (as is often the case with non-governmental aid
projects), then this should contain the identifier for the
donor making the largest known contribution. This
information is identical to the value of
participating-org/@ref with @role="donor"
The type code for the donor listed in the @donor-id attribute.
The ISO 3166-2 alpha2 code for the donor listed in the
@donor-id attribute. This attribute may not be
appropriate for international agencies and NGOs, but
should always be specified for national donors.
The title of the document.
The period of time covered by the information in this
file, specified using ISO 8601 format. For example, the
period between the year 2010 and the year 2011 would be
specified as "2010/2011". The period between April 1,
2010 and March 31, 2011 would be specified as
"2010-04-01/2011-03-31".
This information is identical to the combined values of
the iati-activity/activity-date @period-start and
@period-end attributes.
The most recent date and time that any of the data for
this organisation or activity changed. This date is
identical to the value of the
iati-activity/@last-updated-datetime and
iati-organisation/@last-updated-datetime attributes.
The date and time that this file was generated, in ISO
8601 format. This value is identical to the value of the
iati-activities/@generated-datetime attribute.
A code specifying whether the information in this record has been verified.
See http://iatistandard.org/codelists/verification_status
A MIME type describing the content of the file,
e.g. "application/x-iati+xml" for an IATI XML file.
See http://iatistandard.org/codelists/file_format for a partial list
A text name of a license (e.g. "Creative Commons"). May
be replaced with a code list in the future.
